Neon Rift is a fast-paced top-down shooter where the goal is to survive as many enemy waves as possible. You move your character using the W, A, S, and D keys and shoot by clicking the mouse or pressing the spacebar. 

Enemies appear in waves, and every third wave is a boss with unique attacks. Defeating a boss lets you choose a reward that makes your character stronger. Enemies drop coins, which can be spent between runs to unlock new weapons and permanent upgrades. You can pause the game at any time by pressing Esc or using the on-screen pause button.
